Field engineers

With a highly skilled, remote engineering team - numbering in excess of 200 - located throughout UK and mainland Europe, our engineers are always ‘just around the corner’; as our engineers work across a multitude of different equipment our workforce stays local, allowing them to deliver the fastest response times across all the industries in which we operate.

Field engineers access UNICOM by PDAs, mostly Blackberrys or similar allowing them to self-allocate their jobs according to the geographic location, parts stock and skill set. Using this facility, engineers also close their field visits, order parts and refer to the TIPS knowledge base.

TIPS is an online knowledge database which details instructions to machine issues that have been resolved by Veritek. Delivered to the engineers via UNICOM REMOTE and updated daily, the system allows engineers to prepare for jobs, get help when the resolution isn’t obvious and ultimately resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

All engineers have vehicle kits, with equipment specific to the machines serviced in their region; together with part banks, strategically placed, Veritek achieves an extremely high first-time-fix rate.

Our engineering team is trained by the equipment manufacturer’s own technical teams, ensuring the correct knowledge for support of equipment.
